Krok Hunters - A CY_BORG Pamphlet Adventure
Comes with a printer friendly version!
Kroks lurk beneath the neon giants, prowling the drug-laced wastewaters high society discharges [flush by flush]. Moneyed aristocracy adores the animals’ hardened skins, cladding themselves in the hides of once sentient beings to project a capitalistic air of murderous consciouslessness.
Descend into CY’s sewers to harvest hides, fight the legendary King Krok, and other nasties.

Really slick! I've been running it while waiting for everyone to arrive at the weekly cy_ session. Furthest I've gotten before dying is room 11...
maybe some clarity for the order of generating rooms could be ordered better. I've been doing door type > room type > "play out encounter" > roll d6 for steps behind > roll # of doors. But maybe generating all adjacent doors/rooms works out better for player choice - ie, choosing the safest room on low health / highest risk room when decked out.
Hey! Happy you like it, and thanks for the feedback :D
So, the intention is that whenever you step through a door, you immediately roll for how many doors are in the new room (after determining what's in the room). Exactly for the reason I think you pointed out, namely that you know where to go if you want to "run through" the room. But re-reading it, maybe I should indeed change the order so that you roll for doors before rolling what's in the room.
I was actually thinking just today that I want to revisit Neon Borg, improve it a bit, and get it into print in the final zine of the year. So if you have any other pointers, even minor ones, feel free to post them so I can consider them for the possible print :)
I LOVE EVEYTHING ABOUT THIS!!!
*side note- make your other stuff a little more printer friendly please.
is there a character sheet that can be used for this with the aesthetic. Thank you
There's the official character sheet included in the CY_BORG PDF version: https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/393473
Other than that, not that I know of! But maybe I'll make one, it's a cool idea. If I do, I'll release it on itch as well. :)
thanks. I have the official release so quality is good and will use that but one that matches the feel like the dark fort one would be amazing. Thank you. Keep it up
PS: I just noticed you can grab the official one of a Twitter post, but probably not at the perfect resolution: https://twitter.com/MorkBorg/status/1457023545003941888?s=20
This is amazing and I can't wait for more! I played all day yesterday and am chomping at the bit to create my own PC (LOVE Zap though)!
Thanks, really happy to hear that :D
A really good work! That's the first time I see such a good quality project released under PWYW license, nice stuff!
Thanks, happy to hear that! :D
Hi! A question about the rules: can you "run back" (Agility DR13) instead of attacking if there are monsters in your room? Thanks!
Yep, that's the intention! You avoid the fight and can return to the room later. Depending on how difficult you want your game to be, you could roll to see if the monsters follow you or increase in strength in case you return later :)
